Introducing: Student Committee (StuCo)

Introduce yourself and tell us about your position in the StuCo and your tasks.

Francisco: I’m Francisco and I’m the current president of the Student Committee. My task is to have an overview over all internal and external activities that are going on at the ESB. Furthermore I’m also responsible for the supervision within the StuCo, like communication and finance. I would meet our student coordinators, Mrs Walker and Mrs Küster and our faculty adviser Mrs Werdich from time to time, in order to coordinate and organize events like the freshmen introductory day and some other events concerning the IB program. I also give each of the students a voice that is heard when major decisions for the ESB are made, coming together with other representatives from the Student Network, which is formed by the StuCo (IB), the Stubue (IMDD) and the StuVe (IOM). We meet once or twice a semester to discuss issues that concern the whole ESB in order to solve them and to present them in a meeting with the Dean, which takes place once a semester.

Introducing: Außenwirtschaft/International Business GET TOGETHER

At the ESB networking is essential. Each day, we meet our classmates in lectures, the mensa or on campus. But that isn't enough for us! We also love to get in touch with former students, to ask them question about their carreer paths and of course tips for being successful inside and outside the classroom.

Gladly we are offered a great event bringing former fellow students, other Alumni as well as current International Business and Außenwirtschaft (former name of our program) students together.

Meet Lena

My name is Lena Hönes, I am 20 years old and a first semester IB student at ESB. After my Abitur in 2012 I spent 10 month in Central and South America: I worked as a teacher for pre-school pupils in Costa Rica and helped on a touristic farm in Chile. I enjoyed this trip very much and collected tons of good memories, new experiences and even learned a new language.

Meet Franzi

Hey everyone, my name is Franziska Neidhart. I’m currently studying IB in the third semester and I’m planning to do my internship in the coming semester somewhere in Germany. I was born in Karlsruhe but shortly afterwards moved to Regensburg (Bayern) where I’ve been living for the past 15 years. At my High School I did a few short term exchanges at our partner schools in Italy and America and engaged myself as a tutor, class representative, organized our graduation ceremony and prom. In June 2012 I finished High School and right afterwards started studying at the ESB, making me one of the younger ones here. The ESB spirit, English language and international composition of students made it easy for me to go for the ESB. 

Meet Cedric

Hi! My name is Cedric and I'm currently in the 3rd semester of the IB program. I was born in Essen, but have moved several times. During high school I decided to spend some time abroad and went to the United States in the 11th grade. My time there was great and I enjoyed getting to know a different culture. After my graduation in Germany I decided to do an apprenticeship at a corporation.
