Hi! My name is Cedric and I'm currently in the 3rd semester of the IB program. I was born in Essen, but have moved several times. During high school I decided to spend some time abroad and went to the United States in the 11th grade. My time there was great and I enjoyed getting to know a different culture. After my graduation in Germany I decided to do an apprenticeship at a corporation.
At Henkel in Düsseldorf I was trained as an Industriekaufmann and got great insights in three different departments: Category Management, International Marketing and Treasury Controlling. I started the IB program at ESB in March of '12 because of the great combination of an English language program with international economics. The spirit of the ESB and the IB program is great! It's always fun to be involved in activities. So far I was able to engage for example in the organization of the Winterball and in the Alumni resort of the ESB. For this semester I'm the Head of degree in IB vision, the student representation of my study path. One of the most fun events was organizing the Challeger Weekend - the introduction weekend of the first semester students.
In the last semester break I did an internship at L'Oreal in product management for the brand Garnier. It was a great experience and probably also helped me to find an internship for the next semester. I will be working as an intern for Lufthansa in the Sales department in New York and I'm looking forward to that experience.
Currently I'm planing to do my MBA degree with one of our partner universities, I do not know what university and program yet.
